Genome Sequencing Data Workshop Organized in Collaboration with TÜSEB, TÜYZE, TBE and İBG

The Genome Sequencing Data Workshop was held on 25–28 September 2025 at the Seferihisar Campus of Dokuz Eylül University, hosted by the university and organized in collaboration with Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB), Türkiye Health Data Research and Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute (TÜYZE), Türkiye Biotechnology Institute (TBE), and İzmir Biomedicine and Genome Centre (İBG).

The program, which was organized with the participation of Türkiye's leading academics, researchers, clinicians, and sector representatives, addressed the production of genomic data, quality control, analysis processes, and its role in clinical applications.

The workshop, which was enriched with panels, case discussions, hands-on training sessions, and networking opportunities, also included practical training delivered with contributions from international companies such as Illumina, Qiagen, and Gen Era. The event garnered significant attention for both its scope and content, bringing clinicians, academics, and sector representatives together on the same platform for the first time.

Gratitude was extended to the academics, researchers, and sector representatives whose participation and contributions enhanced the program; to the sponsoring organizations for their support; and to Dokuz Eylül University for its kind hosting.

This workshop, which strengthened knowledge sharing and cooperation in the field of genome technologies, was evaluated as a significant step contributing to the shaping of future health technologies based on partnerships, in line with Türkiye's vision of #InnovativeHealth.
