Türkiye Institute for Health Data Research and Artificial Intelligence Applications and Ministry of Health General Directorate of Health Services Department of Audit and Diagnostic Services Meeting

A meeting was held on November 14, 2023 at the Presidency of the Institutes of Health of Turkey (TÜSEB) Istanbul Koşuyolu Central Campus on current data, possible joint studies and the needs of the field regarding artificial intelligence projects in health with the Turkish Institute of Health Data Research and Artificial Intelligence Applications (TÜYZE) and the Department of Investigation and Diagnostic Services of the General Directorate of Health Services of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye. 

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Songül VARLI and attended by Dr. İbrahim KARAKUŞ, Head of the Department of Investigation and Diagnostic Services of the General Directorate of Health Services and his team, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burcu YÜCEL, Vice President of the Cancer Institute of Türkiye (TKE), Batuhan YEŞİLYURT, Head of Project Management Support and Support Department of TÜSEB, and researchers from TÜYZE and TKE.

Following Prof. Dr. Songül VARLI's presentation in which she introduced TÜSEB and talked about the studies carried out in the field of artificial intelligence in health throughout TÜYZE, ideas were exchanged on the joint work that can be done with the Department of Investigation and Diagnostic Services of the General Directorate of Health Services. In the meeting, information about the progress of the Türkiye Genome Project was presented and opinions were shared on the work that can be carried out with the Genetic Diseases Evaluation Centers within the Department of Investigation and Diagnostic Services.
